Artist Statements
Reflection- This is a picture I took at the Huron River, water treatment place. As you have already probably realized from my past artist statements, I spend a lot of time and take a lot of photos down by the Huron River. I was glad that I could take this reflection of the actual building of the treatment plants, because until now I was only taking pictures of the river itself. It was hard to get a good reflection because the river was steaming a lot and it wasn’t really reflecting a whole lot. But I am actually pretty happy with the pictures that I took there.
Shadows- This is a picture of me standing out in my backyard. I like this one a lot because its simplicity really appeals to me. There isn’t a whole lot of action in the photo, and it feels really relaxed. This picture wasn’t very hard for me to take, I just had to position myself in the right place behind the sun so the shadow was where I wanted it to be. Other than that, this picture was pretty simple, and I like it like that.
